The Tamale Incident – Cara’s Story for the Strong Words Holiday(s) Show

Jan 4, 2023 | Live Storytelling, Multiracial Roots, Stuff I Believe, Women's Empowerment

I may never live down The Tamale Incident, my moment of infamy in the Lopez-Lee family. In this live personal story, I confess what happened that day and why sometimes, just sometimes, I feel like a failed Mexican woman. Thanks to Larry Dean Harris for inviting me to share my little tale at his popular L.A. storytelling show: Strong Words. It starts three minutes in, but I recommend checking out the whole Holiday(s) Show on YouTube!
